Nicole

Owner - Principal Photographer

Nicole is the proprietor and principal photographer at Lavender Lane Photography. Previously a lawyer, and a qualified English, legal and drama teacher, Nicole chose to throw it all in and pursue her love for photography, children, and business. A mother to two boys a year a part (Harrison aged 5 and William aged 4), Lavender Lane Photography became her third baby shortly after the birth of her second son William (aka Woo). She started the business in November 2016, which has proven to have its fair share of highs, lows, lessons, and successes. Would she do it all again? YES! But she’d probably skip the 3 now unnecessary degrees and buy the camera much earlier with far less hesitation

Nicole has had the honour of photographing well over 1,000 families. Nicole has completed newborn photography safety courses and attended in-person workshops taught by some of the industry world leaders. Nicole has watched a plethora of online workshops on newborn posing, posing, lighting etc. Nicole is completely up to date with her whooping cough booster vaccination and her seasonal flu shot.

Nicole has ambitious plans for the business and her amazing team, having recently put on 3 new staff members, she is excited to watch the next stage of expansion and growth take it’s course. Nicole was recently nominated for the 2021 Mumpreneur awards, namely the National category for Rising Star AusMumpreneur of the Year and state categories for Service Business Award and the People’s Choice Award for Customer Service. Keep your eye on our socials to know how Nicole went at these amazing awards. In the meantime, you can read more on the AusMumpreneur Awards here: https://ausmumpreneur.com/

Peta

Videography Editor

Peta is originally from sunny Queensland, but recently made the jump across the pacific to follow my love of mountains, below zero temperatures, and snowboarding, to Canada.

Ever since I could hold up the big and bulky family camcorder, I have been capturing moments in time and creating videos. I vividly remember my brother and I running around with the old camcorder, making silly videos, and mostly annoying our sister with it. Over the years, as the technology has advanced, so too have my skills in both videography and video editing (my sister actually asks me to make videos now). I pride myself in making emotive videos, ones that you can look back on in ten, twenty, and even fifty years from now and be brought back in time to that special moment and remember it forever.
