It was a partly cloudy day at North Lakes when I had the pleasure of meeting Tamara and her family for her second maternity photography session with me. As a maternity photographer, there’s something truly special about capturing such a pivotal moment in a family’s journey, especially when it’s a return client. Tamara, her husband, and their 5-year-old daughter were all beaming with excitement, eager to capture the moments leading up to the arrival of baby number two.
We found a lovely spot under a few trees, offering some cover from the sun, where Tamara slipped into her first outfit—a stunning aqua flow dress. This dress, with its soft, flowing fabric, perfectly complemented her skin tone, making her look almost like a goddess. As her little one gave the baby bump a few cheeky cuddles, it was clear that this was just the beginning of many more sweet moments to come. Capturing those candid interactions in maternity photos is always a joy, especially when you know they’ll look back at these moments with fondness.
For the next part of the session, Tamara changed into a versatile grey multi-tie dress for a more family-oriented look. We strolled down the nearby trail, the family walking hand in hand, full of laughter and smiles. The connection between them was palpable, and it made for some truly heartwarming maternity photos. As the sun began to set, Tamara changed into a striking red tube dress. The golden hues of the sunset, paired with the deep red of the dress, created a magical and almost ethereal atmosphere, perfect for those tender, romantic shots with her husband. It was the ideal way to close out the session, with the entire family coming together for a final shot that encapsulated the beauty and joy of this moment in their lives.
It was an absolute honor to capture Tamara’s maternity photos once again. Repeat sessions like these hold a special place in my heart because I get to witness and document the growth of a family over time.
