It was a beautiful afternoon at North Lakes when I had the pleasure of capturing Fiona and Glenn’s second maternity session for Lavender Lane Photography. Having previously worked with them for their first maternity photography shoot, it was wonderful to see how their family had grown. This time, I got to meet their sweet son, Raphael, who made the session even more special.
We began the maternity photoshoot with Fiona in the stunning Pink Monroe dress, positioned in front of the trees where the sunlight gently filtered through the branches. The soft light created the perfect backdrop for those magical family photos. Raphael, their little boy, was quite shy at first, but as any maternity photographer knows, small children are always adorable no matter what they do! These family images were incredibly important to both Glenn and Fiona, as they wanted a cherished moment to hang on their wall – a memory of their growing family, frozen in time.
Next, Fiona changed into the red Multi-tie dress, and we moved to the edge of the grassy field. This spot held sentimental value as it was where we had captured her favorite images during her first maternity session. This time, the shoot included tender moments with her husband and a few special photos with her mother. One of my favorite shots was a close-up of their wedding rings resting on Fiona’s baby bump—a small yet meaningful detail that every maternity photographer loves to highlight.
As the session came to a close, we managed to capture a few more family images. Raphael, now warmed up and comfortable with me, gifted us the cutest and most adorable smile—a perfect way to end the maternity photoshoot.
Maternity photography is all about capturing those fleeting, precious moments, and this session was no exception. Fiona and Glenn’s growing family radiated love and joy, and I’m honored to have been their maternity photographer for both of these unforgettable moments.
