Sunset Maternity Photography Session at Bribie Beach
There’s something truly magical about capturing the gentle glow of an expectant mother against a golden sunset. On a partly sunny day at beautiful Bribie Beach, I had the privilege of witnessing just that. As a dedicated maternity photographer, I was thrilled to document this special moment for Kelly and her husband, Des, who are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first child. The quiet excitement and love that filled the air made for an unforgettable maternity photography session.
Our evening began with Kelly stepping onto the soft sand wearing a stunning white “Folklore” dress. Its delicate details and light, airy fabric perfectly complemented the gentle warmth of the setting sun. This first maternity photo captured the essence of new beginnings—soft, romantic, and full of hope.
As the golden hour approached, Kelly changed into the second look: a bold red “Ariel” dress with a tulle bottom. The vibrant color and flowing fabric created a breathtaking contrast against the calm blues of the ocean. This was the perfect moment to incorporate Des into the frame—his supportive hand gently resting on Kelly’s bump, reflecting the strength and unity of their growing family. As a maternity photographer, these intimate interactions are what make each session so meaningful.
Finally, as the sky shifted into shades of lavender and deep gold, Kelly slipped into her third ensemble—the white lacey “Everly” wrap dress. This soft, feminine dress seemed to glow in the evening light, and the delicate lace details framed Kelly’s silhouette beautifully.
