Precious Moments with Baby Reeva: Newborn Photography at Lavender Lane Photography

Recently, we had the absolute pleasure of photographing baby Reeva’s newborn session in our studio. Surrounded by love from her parents, Ruchi and Utpal, big sister Aarna, and even her grandparents, this session was filled with warmth, tenderness, and the kind of joy that only a newborn can bring.
A Soft, Serene Pink Setup
For Reeva’s newborn session, we chose a soft, gentle pink color for the beanbag poses. Pink is a classic choice for newborn girls, creating a calm, sweet atmosphere that perfectly highlighted Reeva’s delicate features. The softness of the pink complemented Reeva’s peaceful nature, making the setup feel dreamy and serene—just like her.
As a photographer, I love how certain colors can evoke specific emotions, and pink, in particular, always adds a touch of warmth and softness to newborn portraits. Reeva looked absolutely beautiful wrapped up in soft, cozy blankets, and the combination of the soft pink backdrop with her tiny features made for the most precious shots.
A Cozy Oak Bed Prop and White Knit Teddy
One of the most heartwarming setups we used for Reeva’s session was the oak bed prop. The natural wood tones of the bed added a timeless, organic feel to the photos, and with Reeva tucked into a cozy, fluffy blanket, it was the perfect combination of comfort and elegance.
To add an extra layer of sweetness, we included a soft white knit teddy bear with Reeva on our beautiful white fluff—an adorable touch that brought a sense of playfulness to the session. The contrast between the soft teddy bear and the delicate newborn wrapped in a soft blanket created such a warm, inviting image.
Brown Heart Bowl with Pink Wraps
Another standout moment from Reeva’s session was the use of our brown heart-shaped bowl. Nestled in the bowl, Reeva looked so peaceful wrapped in soft pink wraps that brought out the tenderness of the moment. The brown of the heart bowl paired with the soft pink of the wraps gave the image a natural, earthy feel, while keeping the attention on Reeva’s tiny form. This setup was simple yet beautiful, and it added a cozy, intimate touch to the collection of images we created.
Family, Sibling, and Grandparent Photos
A newborn session is never complete without capturing the love between family members, and Reeva’s session was no exception. Ruchi and Utpal were absolutely glowing as parents, and the way they gazed at their precious girl was nothing short of heartwarming.
Big sister Aarna was such a joy to photograph as well. At just a bit older, Aarna’s love for her baby sister was so evident. She couldn’t wait to be close to Reeva, and it was such a joy to capture their sibling bond. These moments are so special as they mark the start of a lifelong connection between the two girls.
The addition of the grandparents made the session even more meaningful. It was clear how much love and joy Reeva’s arrival brought to the entire family. The grandparents’ smiles and the way they doted on their new granddaughter were truly beautiful to capture.
