Recently, I had the incredible opportunity as a maternity photographer to capture Samantha and Dan’s journey into parenthood at North Lakes. Their beloved dog, Nala, joined in on the fun—making this maternity photo session even more memorable.
A Perfect Partly Cloudy Day
The day of the shoot was one of those perfect afternoons: partly cloudy skies that filtered the golden sunlight, creating a soft glow over the lush greenery. As a maternity photographer, I’m always on the lookout for those fleeting moments when the sun dips low, painting the sky in pastel hues. North Lakes offered an ideal backdrop with its expansive open field, swaying tall grass, and gentle whispers of the wind.
Capturing Three Stunning Looks
Samantha’s wardrobe choices were simply stunning. We began with the red multi-tie dress, which flowed elegantly against the wind. The vibrant red contrasted beautifully with the natural setting, and as Samantha posed with Dan and Nala, the resulting maternity photo captured their shared excitement and the warmth of this new chapter.
Next came the black Ariel dress with a tulle bottom. This ensemble added a hint of drama and sophistication.
