Sunset Maternity Photography Session at North Lakes
There’s something truly magical about capturing the glow of an expectant mother as the sun gently sets behind her. This recent maternity photography session with Jennifer and her husband, Ebrahim, took place at North Lakes, in a wide-open field adorned with long, fluffy grass that shimmered under the golden light. As their maternity photographer, it was such a joy to document their journey into parenthood as they eagerly await the arrival of their first child.
The day was partly cloudy, which created a beautifully soft and diffused light. This natural lighting was perfect for creating the dreamy, romantic feel we were aiming for in each maternity photo. The combination of the setting sun, the gentle breeze, and the soft clouds transformed the entire scene into a painterly backdrop—just right for a meaningful maternity photography session.
We started off with Jennifer wearing a stunning pink tulle robe. Its delicate layers moved gracefully in the wind, adding a fairy-tale element to every shot.
Next, Jennifer changed into a white lacey wrap, draped elegantly over her growing belly. This classic look lent a timeless quality to the images, highlighting her natural beauty and maternal glow.
Finally, we finished the shoot with a breathtaking red “Ariel” dress featuring a bold tulle bottom. The vibrant pop of color contrasted beautifully against the lush green field and the soft pastel sky.
Throughout the session, Christine, their dedicated maternity photographer, guided Jennifer and Ebrahim through gentle poses that felt both comfortable and authentic. Together, we captured intimate moments—the way Ebrahim softly placed his hand on Jennifer’s belly, the warm smile on her face as she looked toward their future, and the laughter they shared as the wind teased Jennifer’s long hair.
